After just six months, with a rapidly growing audience, Eat Here Now is in a unique position. Our readers are passionate eaters and cooks who routinely visit the site – Eat Here Now is quickly becoming their bible to Auckland. They tell us when we’re wrong, and they tell us about new restaurants we should be visiting. They love our photography and they love that we don’t review something if we don’t think you have to know about it. They’re tired of flabby, boring, self-indulgent reviewing.
But we want to do more, and this is where you come in. We want partners who get what we do and want to support us to review more restaurants, inform more people about Auckland’s food culture. We want to grow the site, review more restaurants, improve functionality and introduce more features and different content. But most of all we just want to do more of what we’re already doing.
We’re not just on the web: each Friday, Eat Here Now’s Simon Farrell-Green checks in to Charlotte Ryan’s show on 95bFM as the station’s restaurant agony uncle, answering listeners’ questions about everything from where to go for their anniversary to why restaurants charge so much for wine. Every now and then, we run a Supper Club. We’re planning a book, and we’re going to develop an app. Increasingly, we’re talking to people in a variety of media – which presents partners with a unique opportunity.
