You might remember that every now and then we do supper clubs and a while back, we had an oyster afternoon. We were just starting to work out when to do another one when The Golden Dawn approached us to collaborate on a series of long lunches in their courtyard. We like to drink there, of course, but we’ve also come to love their food, since it’s everything we like about eating – rustic, simple, good ingredients, well cared for.

We can’t imagine a better way to spend Sunday afternoon, and we invite you to join us for a summer seafood feast on December 2. Here’s the menu:

Smoked kahawai pots with horseradish & watercress
Paprika spiced garlic butter with potato bread

Fennel-stuffed whole fish cooked on coals
Campers’ pots with clams, tuatua & mussels in a spicy broth
Vine tomatoes, white onion & parsley salad with sherry vinegar
Baby swift potatoes in foil with anchovy aioli
Zucchini carpaccio with chilli & mint

Eton mess with rosewater cream

Tickets are limited and cost $39 per person, available from iTicket (a booking fee applies, just FYI). It’s intended to be a shared meal so bring some friends, or expect to make some!

  1. I have just found this, a day too late unfortunately but I have signed up for email so hopefully see you at a future event.
